Checking things off...

Well this weekend I got three very important items checked off my "to do list". I FINALLY got Addison's bedroom furniture and bedding ordered!!! I can not tell you people how relieved I feel now. I can actually lay my head down at night and know my child will have a bed to sleep in. Not that it really matters, seeing as how she will be in our bedroom for at least a month after she is born. Yes... I don't see any since in denying it.:) I am not ashamed either.  I have been waiting on this little girl for quite sometime and I am going to enjoy every single moment that I can of watching her sleep, or not sleep (depending on how she may feel at the time).

This is what her crib looks like. We didn't order the other two pieces in the picture. We ordered a dresser with a hutch and one tall dresser. Sorry, no pictures of those.

This is the glider that will be in her room for all those lovely nights I get to read her books and rock her to sleep. I can hardly wait!

And this is the fabric I used for her bedding and curtains. Mom and I went Sunday afternoon to B'ham to meet with a lady who had fabric coming out her ears! There was anything and everything you could want. If she didn't have it, which was highly unlikely, she could get it.  As I browsed around I was sure I would become overwhelmed and leave in tears with nothing accomplished for my baby girl, but I found something I really loved! It was not what I had picked out in my mind, but I think I like it better than the original fabric I had decided on. I can't wait to see what everything will look like once she's finished!

Busy Saturday...

Saturday was a busy, but very productive day for the Wesleys. We finally got Addison's nursery furniture ordered, which I love! After the trip to B'ham... the hubby treated me to coconut shrimp at Joe's Crab Shack! YUM!!! Then we drove to Chandler Springs for some pregnancy pictures. Diane (Jared's mom) took some pictures for us, and I must say I think she did a really good job. We were only going to take a few, but we got a little carried away. :) Here are a few of my favorites.

26 weeks and a shocker....

26 Weeks Pregnant

At 26 Weeks....

Weight Gain: 19 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Definitely

Sleep: Me and the hubby have been  exhausted from work this week. We've both been falling asleep around 8:00! I guess we better enjoy it... Addison will soon decide our sleeping schedules. Which is perfectly fine by me. :)

Looking Forward to:  Ordering her furniture Saturday! I will post pictures soon.

Baby Movement: She has been VERY active this week. And I am loving it!

SHOCKER for the week: I am going to be an aunt AGAIN!!! We got the fabulous news Saturday that
Russ and April are going to welcome another little blessing to their family of three. We are so excited that Addison will have TWO cousins close to her age to play with. We are looking forward to all the fun times to come!

Milestones: This week, our sweet Addison weighs in at 2 pounds and around 9 inches long! Her little eyes are beginning to open , which probably explains why she has been so much more active this week. She is able to percieve more light and responds to loud noises. We are guilty of speaking loudly just to get her going these days:) She is such great entertainment.  Two nights ago we put Jared's iphone on my belly and played some music.... talk about bouncing all over the place! We watched that iphone go up and down for 15 minutes. Pregnancy is sooooo fun!!!

**Please note the "sleepy" face! I can not seem to stay alert this week. I am soooo tired.

Weekend Fun!!

Lots of SUNSHINE + GREAT FRIENDS = HaPpY Alli :)

So Friday night I joined the hubby at Munford Middle's BIG TIME dance. It wasn't until the clock struck 8:00 that.... the blaring music was giving me a headache, I was yawning uncontrollably, my back was killing me, I didn't know the songs that were being played, and I finally came to the conclusion that I can no longer consider myself young. :)

The highlight of the weekend  was that my wonderful friends gave Krystal and I a double baby shower....so sweet! I have been excited about Addison since day 1, but getting all of those precious gifts got me OH, SO EXCITED!!!!  We spent most of the night being entertained by Anna Kate and Reese Cup. I honestly do not remember what we did at these functions before they were born. Let's face it ladies... it had to of been boring. :)
Anyways.... here are a few pictures of the fun night!

Jared got in some practice with baby Reese.
Doesn't he look like a natural?

The baby whisperer in action.

And this is just one of the adorable children we watched all night long!  How cute is she?????

She was so excited about holding baby Reese. Look at that face!

I have also been notified that its been a couple of weeks since my last pregnancy post so....

At 25 weeks ....

Weight gain: Let's not go there ;)

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Looking Forward to: Seeing our sweet girl!!

Stretch Marks: None yet....keeping my fingers crossed

What I Miss: Nothing

Sleep: Much better the past 2 weeks! :)

Sad But True: I am already beginning to swell!!! When I arrived home from the shower/ cookout (my husband insists that it was a cookout) :) , I came home to find that I had developed cankles!!!!!!!!!! Yes you read that right , if I spelled it right, Cankles!!! I can't help but wonder what I will look like by the time I am 9 months if I'm already swelling, but those are the breaks. Anything for my child.

Milestones: At 25 weeks, Addison  is now over 1 pound and about 9 inches long. Her capillaries are forming under the skin and filling with blood. By weeks end,  air sacs lined with capillaries will also develop in her lungs, getting her ready for her first breath of fresh air. Her nostrils are also opening this week as well.
