23 weeks....and a special thank you!

23 Weeks

How many weeks: 23 weeks

Weight Gain: 15 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Sleep: Starting to wind down in the afternoons again...sleep has been better the past 2 weeks.
Doctor Hudson told me yesterday that I am anemic, which is causing me to get tired a LOT easier these days.

Food Cravings: No

Baby Movement: Yes....the hubby started feeling her about 2 weeks ago! :) I think we have a gymnast because she is literally doing flips these days. It feels so wierd! It's amazing how entertaining feeling her kick all night is...but that is mostly what we do now. Sooooo fun for us!!!

Most Excited About: Finally deciding on her name!!!

Milestones: This week baby girl is a little over a pound and her skin pigment is now forming. She is now proportioned like a newborn except she is a thinner version of a newborn baby since her baby fat has not developed much yet. She can recognize voices really well... (she prefers her daddy's if we're being honest).
When he speaks..she moves the most. I'm sure it's refreshing for her to hear another voice after a long day of hearing her mommy yap at little kids all day long!

Looking Forward To: Seeing our sweet angel!!! We can not wait to meet her!!!!

We also decided on a name!!!!
We have offically decided on Addison Brooke Wesley!!

It's been a tough several weeks for our family. After a long three week battle, my Aunt Jeanette was taken home to be with the Lord January 6, 2011.  She was a huge influence in my life and taught me many lessons that I never thanked her for. While she was in the hospital, the same question kept running through my mind, why her Lord? We still need her here. I have come to realize that even through her death she managed to teach me one more lesson. We have a short time here on earth. We can't dwell on the things in life we can't change...we have to focus on what's important and enjoy every minute God gives us. And that is exactly what I intend to do. I think Aunt Jeanette put it best when she said..  "I've reached the point in my life that I know what's important and I enjoy every minute of every day. Life is short." Aunt Jeanette was one of those people who could rise above the challenging times and still keep a smile. She was a special lady and will be truly missed by all. I feel at peace knowing that although we have lost an amazing family member ....we now have a special angel watching over us. Thank you for your love and lessons Aunt J! They will always be remembered!
