It's been a busy but fun couple of weeks. Addison and I have been on the go and she and I are both loving it! We have been in these four walls for far too long.:) She is loving the new scenary and new faces. Did I mention I'm starting back to work in 2 ...count them 2 weeks! :( I know, I know I shouldn't complain, but I am sooo going to miss my sweet girl! We have had a wonderful 3 months together. I have been so blessed to get to stay home with her for this long, and as bad as I don't want to leave her, I am very grateful for getting to go back to my J-O-B.
Several of my peeps gave me the EXCELLENT advice to gradually let Addison start going to daycare. Of course I'm not worried about her getting adjusted as much as I am ME getting adjusted. I know she will be taken care of, but I do think gradually letting her stay will help ME let go a little easier. She will be joining her BFF Reese and cousin Hudson at Mrs. Elizabeth's daycare. She also knows the rest of the daycare crew from church. She stayed for 3 whole hours Wednesday while I went to the dentist. We are gonna let Mrs. Liz keep her another 1/2 day this week. I feel so blessed to have someone I trust keeping my baby girl. Mrs. Liz is so good with all of the kids and I can tell that Addison is going to have more love and attention than she knows what to do with. (There seems to be a lot of little mommys willing to lend a helping hand);)
Addison's First Day at Daycare
We also met up with some great friends last week. This is my college bud Leslie and her little handsome man Drake. We met for lunch and did a little school supply shopping at the Dollar Tree.
Drake needed to make sure Addison's carseat was
safe for her ride home.
She was worn out by the time we got home! We had a great time and hope to visit with Leslie and Drake again soon!
We've also been doing a lot of THIS the past few weeks. She is the best little "snuggle bug" on Earth!
Look at that SWEET face! I can't kiss it enough.

Addison at 2 months...
Addison, you are two months old today. I can hardly believe it! You've grown so much and are learning new things every day. You make our lives so enjoyable. I look at you and can't help but smile. Addison Brooke, you have filled a hole in your mommy's heart I never knew was missing. Words can not describe how much I love you! You are mine and your daddy's world! I can't even remember what life was like without you!
We went for your two month well-baby check up yesterday and you have grown more than ever!
Your daddy and I made bets on how much you were going to weigh...he won :)
At two months old you now weigh 10 lbs. and 2 oz.
You are 22 1/2 inches long
You are in the 50 percentile range for height and weight
Dr. Tyler refers to you as a lazy eater. You rarely finish a 4 oz. bottle. I prefer to call you a snacker. You like to eat about 1-2 oz. and then nap. You get hungry again in about 1 hour and finish the rest of your bottle. You don't get in a hurry about much, you're pretty layed back like your daddy thank goodness! I am anything but layed back... I am glad you take after him! We started feeding you one formula bottle a day last week. You are up to two bottles this week! You HATED Enfamil, but didnt skip a beat when given Similac, so that is now our formula of choice. Hopefully by the time I return to work, you will be a full-time formula fed baby. :)
Addison, you had your first shots yesterday, I don't know who was more upset, you or me. Holding my crying baby as someone sticks her with needles is not my idea of a fun day. You were such a big girl though. As soon as the shots were finished, I scooped you up and held you and you stopped crying. You are such a little trooper!
Our days usually consist of feeding baby, changing baby, playing with baby, and watching baby sleep. We have a great time together, but you do tend to get tired of seeing only your mommy for about 8 hours straight. You are thrilled to pieces to see your daddy walk through the door. You can cut it on and off within a second. One second you can be throwing a fit, and the next your daddy walks in and you smile the biggest smile ever. It does my heart good to see the love that you two share :) We are so lucky that God has lent you to us! We love you soooo much and are thankful to have such a sweet and beautiful baby girl!
Here are a few pics. from the past couple of weeks.
This was Addison's first day in the church nursery! Her BFF MaKenna was there and helped her feel more comfortable in a new setting. Thanks Anna for taking this!
Daddy and Addison on the 4th of July! She was sporting her red, white and blue!
She is finally able to actually enjoy her swing.
Aunt Krystal and MaKenna came for a visit last week. We had fun and hope they will visit again soon!
Our girl still loves bath time! What a cute bath bunny!
