23 weeks....and a special thank you!

23 Weeks

How many weeks: 23 weeks

Weight Gain: 15 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Sleep: Starting to wind down in the afternoons again...sleep has been better the past 2 weeks.
Doctor Hudson told me yesterday that I am anemic, which is causing me to get tired a LOT easier these days.

Food Cravings: No

Baby Movement: Yes....the hubby started feeling her about 2 weeks ago! :) I think we have a gymnast because she is literally doing flips these days. It feels so wierd! It's amazing how entertaining feeling her kick all night is...but that is mostly what we do now. Sooooo fun for us!!!

Most Excited About: Finally deciding on her name!!!

Milestones: This week baby girl is a little over a pound and her skin pigment is now forming. She is now proportioned like a newborn except she is a thinner version of a newborn baby since her baby fat has not developed much yet. She can recognize voices really well... (she prefers her daddy's if we're being honest).
When he speaks..she moves the most. I'm sure it's refreshing for her to hear another voice after a long day of hearing her mommy yap at little kids all day long!

Looking Forward To: Seeing our sweet angel!!! We can not wait to meet her!!!!

We also decided on a name!!!!
We have offically decided on Addison Brooke Wesley!!

It's been a tough several weeks for our family. After a long three week battle, my Aunt Jeanette was taken home to be with the Lord January 6, 2011.  She was a huge influence in my life and taught me many lessons that I never thanked her for. While she was in the hospital, the same question kept running through my mind, why her Lord? We still need her here. I have come to realize that even through her death she managed to teach me one more lesson. We have a short time here on earth. We can't dwell on the things in life we can't change...we have to focus on what's important and enjoy every minute God gives us. And that is exactly what I intend to do. I think Aunt Jeanette put it best when she said..  "I've reached the point in my life that I know what's important and I enjoy every minute of every day. Life is short." Aunt Jeanette was one of those people who could rise above the challenging times and still keep a smile. She was a special lady and will be truly missed by all. I feel at peace knowing that although we have lost an amazing family member ....we now have a special angel watching over us. Thank you for your love and lessons Aunt J! They will always be remembered!

White Christmas

And just because this was Clay County's first White Christmas since 1936...I had to post a picture of Christmas day at our home. It's all about the memories...

Jared and I also visited Williamsburg Virginia over the Christmas holidays.

A Long Time Tradition....

Every year Krystal and I have a traditional Christmas picture taken. This tradition began when we were just a month old. This year's picture however, was very special because we are both carrying our baby girls. I hope to start this tradition with our little ones next year. It is fun to watch how much we've grown over the years....and boy did we grow this year! :)

20 weeks and counting....

How many weeks: 20 weeks

Weight Gain: 12 lbs. (Yes...the Christmas food was delicious!)

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Sleep: Still wake up every 2 hours. The maternity pillow my wonderful sister-in-law let me borrow
is helping me get A LOT more comfortable though.

Food Cravings: Anything tastes good these days:)

Baby Movement: Yes...mostly after meal time.

Stretch Marks: Not yet. Still lathering in lotion every chance I get.

Looking Forward To: Deciding on a name. We are very close. :)

Milestones: At 20 weeks baby girl is the size of a  small cantaloupe.
She is practicing swallowing every day, and has a good amount of meconium stored up in her bowels. Meconium is a black gooey substance that will make up baby’s first bowel movement when she’s born.
Her immunities are beginning to develop. Her senses are developing, and she can begin to taste, smell, hear, see, and touch. Nerve cells are continuing to make new connections every day in preparation for her big day. She's beginning to learn familiar voices.

Asking for prayers

Our family would greatly appreciate your prayers.
My Aunt Jeanette (one of the best ppl in the world)
suffered a heart attack Sunday night at church.
She has been such an influence in my life and is
a wonderful Christian example. We are putting faith
in the Lord for HIS will to be done. The power of
prayer is truly remarkable, so please if you are a
praying person send one up for this wonderful
woman. We love her sooooo much!

18 Weeks

How Many Weeks: 18 weeks

Maternity Clothes: Some... I am still using the B-band.

Weight Gain: 8-9 lbs.

Sleep: Hardly any this week:) We found out she was a girl....and mommy's been too excited to sleep! The pregnancy feels so real now that I can actually say "she" instead of "baby".

Food Cravings: None

Baby Movement: Yes....finally!!!! I started realizing it was her moving the end of last week. I wasnt sure, but now I know it's her. I absolutely  LOVE it! I can't wait for Jared to get to feel her kick. It is soooo amazing!

Stretch Marks: None yet....keeping my fingers crossed.

Milestones: This week baby girl (I love that I get to say that now) is filling out nicely. She is yawning and hiccupping now. And she officially has her own set of fingerprints on her little fingers and toes. We got to see our sweet miracle via ultrasound Tuesday and we saw those precious fingers wiggle and move! It just melted my heart:)
