We Are So In Love.....

On May 12, 2011 our lives were changed forever by this beautiful little angel. Addison Brooke Wesley graced us with her presence at 2:18 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. I would love to tell you how it felt seeing her for the first time, but words just can not describe the pure joy and love. We think she is absolutely perfect.

We checked into the hospital at 5:00 a.m.

Began pitocin at 6:00..... ouch!
Epidural by 8:00.... Love that drug!!!!!!!!! It was smooth sailing after that.

I progressed from a 5 to a 10 in one hour. After pushing for about an hour... our baby miracle arrived. :)

Addison Brooke Wesley ...the love of our lives!

Proud Daddy!

I FINALLY get my hands on her!

Grandparents see her for the very first time.

Her Daddy couldn't wait to get her in some orange and blue!
She wore this outfit for the hospital pictures.

On our way home from the hospital.... we came home Saturday, May 14.

I will try to post more pictures soon. She has changed so much already!

ONE more day....

Well as most of you already know, our little angel will be arriving some time tomorrow! :) Jared and I will be checking in at St.Vincent's Hospital at the bright and early time
of 5:00 a.m. I can't believe we are only a day away from  holding our sweet baby. Jared and I have waited for this day for such a long time and now it is finally here!

My "First" Mother's Day....  My sweet hubby surprised me Sunday morning with a necklace with Addison's birthstone in it. Even though I was not technically a mother "yet", he said he felt like I had earned the title already. :)  Can I please take a moment to tell you how much I love this man. :) I pray Addison finds someone as wonderful as her daddy.

And here are the finishing touches on baby girl's room.
All we need now is our sweet Addison.

I will post "coming home" pictures as soon as I can.
Please say a prayer for us tomorrow! I will try to keep everyone updated on Addison's arrival.

Where Did April Go??

I know, I know.... I am a terrible blogger! We have been extremely busy getting ready for baby girl.
April is almost gone... and May is SOON approaching!!! We are sooo excited to welcome Addison into the world!!! Here are a few pictures of our busy month of April.
The Thursday before my Spring Break, AES surprised me with a baby shower! Sorry, no pictures.
Mrs. Luker did create a precious slideshow for me of the shower. I will try to download it later :)

During my Spring Break, Jared's faculty gave us a baby shower too. They were all sooo sweet!

Jared and I are both very blessed to work with such wonderful people! We appreciate you all!!!

                                                                  Easter

Easter Sunday was quite busy. We went to Jared's sister's house for lunch and then to my Maw Maw's house. Next year we will have our little miracle here to share the holiday with us!

We also spent most of the month of April finishing Addison's room!!!! We still have a few little things to finish, but here is what it looks like so far....

Please notice the highchair still in the box. We are hoping to get that put together this weekend.
I know, I know... it'll be a while before she needs it. But I've been told it sneaks up on you. :(

 Pregnancy Update...
I have made progress since last week!!!! We went to B'ham Monday and I am 80% effaced, but have not started dialating yet. We are getting closer though! I will go back Wednesday for a sonogram to see how big she is going to be at delivery. Hopefully we will find out that I have made more progress! We are soooo excited!!

33 weeks...

It's been a while since I posted a pregnancy picture, so I thought I would post one this week for memory's sake.

How many weeks: 33 weeks.

Weight Gain:  It has slipped my mind at the moment. :)

Baby movement: Addison is a very active girl. Her daddy and I love to watch my stomach roll and flip flop from side to side. We are easily entertained by our little sweetie:) I am more amazed every time I feel her. God is so incredible! He is allowing us to bond before we even meet! :)

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Sleep: Pretty good

Looking forward to: Of course seeing her! Her furniture comes in Tuesday so we are also very excited that we're gonna get to start decorating her room!

Food Cravings: None.... I get full very quickly these days.

Milestones: This week Addison weighs about 4 1/2 pounds. Antibodies are being passed from me to her as her immune system continues to develop. I start going to the Dr. every 2 weeks now! D-Day is quickly approaching!!! We can hardly wait ! :)

Hormonal embarrassment....

For those of you who are unaware of my emotional state right now.... let me warn you.....I have been a time bomb waiting to happen. Well today... someone pulled the pin! I was on my way to my Dr.s visit, already in a tizzy because I was going to be about 5 min. late ( I really hate to keep people waiting)  I politely called and informed them that I was running a tad bit late but would be there very soon. As I am hanging up the phone I stop at a stop sign behind a white SUV and what do I see??? Blue lights pulling out of a church parking lot right behind me. (Pin pulled) I am not one to cry in public, but as I saw those lights turn on I realized I was going to be a LOT later than 5 min. and I have NO IDEA what happened to me (well yes I do, I'm an emotional basket case ) but I began to cry and I don't mean tears in my eyes. Ohhhh no, this BIG girl began sobbing and I could not stop to save my life! The police officer walked up and began informing me that I was following too close behind the car in front of me. I could not focus. And so it began....
Dialog: Police: "Ma'am I need your driver license." Me: "What? Oh yeah ..(insert uncontrollable sobbing) I then proceed to give the man my Blue Cross Ins. Card. Police: "Ma'am, this is an ins. card" Me: "Oh yes....I just ...um... (insert more sobbing) I'm late for an appt." Police: "I also need your proof of car insurance."
Me: Ok....   Dig Dig Dig for it.   Police: "Ma'am this is out of date."  Me: "Well I have more...hold on. Dig Dig Dig. I give him another and continue digging. (Note to self....discard old cards!! Why do I keep them all piled in the glove compartment?) Police: "Ok Ma'am I have all I need now"  As he walks back to his car I try to regain my composure...Alli it's just a ticket.... geeezzzz  chillllll..... you are embarrassing yourself!! I try to breathe and then the tears come AGAIN. I think I am ok when he comes back and proceeds to give me the ticket. And the tears start falling again! Now I do NOT expect any special treatment because I am pregnant, but I wish I had been forwarned about these pesky hormones! I have not been this emotional my whole pregnancy! I was sooo embarassed, but I just could NOT stop crying! So after this I get to walk in the Dr's office all red faced and teary eyed. The sweet receptionist says hello and I start ALL over again! I was at the point of trying not to make eye contact with anyone because when someone would speak to me I would start crying all over again! I know... I AM CRAZY!!! Gracious me! I of course have to be in public when the hormones set in! I finally see my Dr. who obviously could tell I was upset, but did not mention my emotional state. I'm sure he knew I would probably burst into tears again.:)  Anyways...The dr. appt. went well, and I had a wonderful cry squall on the way home. :)  Hopefully that break down will be the one and only public display of hormones.:) For those that pray daily, please add my husband to your prayer list:)

Baby Shower

Sunday our church family and friends gave us a baby shower.  We got so many cute things that I can't wait to put on Addison!! She is a very lucky litttle girl. She has a room FULL of presents from a lot of wonderful people. We are blessed to have so many thoughtful people in our lives. Thank you to everyone who faced the cold weather and came out and celebrated our little Addison's soon arrival! We really appreciated it! Here are just a few pictures from the special day.

So Stubborn...So Gorgeous!

Monday was the best day ever!!!! Jared and I, along with our moms, got to see our beautiful baby girl! It took 45....count them... 45 minutes to finally get some "ok" shots of this stubborn little angel. She was snuggled close to me and was NOT going to move no matter how much we aggrevated her. I have no idea where she gets this :)  Anyway.... the pictures are not the best in the world, but it is all Addison would allow for now. We think she is gorgeous, but we of course are a little partial. :) Words can't describe the feeling I got when I saw her actually yawning and puckering those little lips. My heart melted and tears did flow. I can not imagine what it will be like to actually get my hands on her! Nine more weeks!!! We are soooooo excited. We had 42 pictures in all :) What can I say, the ultrasound tech was sooo patient and kind. I thought I would share just a few....

How does anyone NOT believe in GOD after looking at this precious angel ?
He has blessed us in soooo many ways and we give him ALL the GLORY!

We are soooo in love with this little miracle!!!
